In recognition of National Caregiver Day, Day 2 of the Summit will focus on profiling and celebrating the vital role caregivers play across Canada's health and social care systems. The day will include lived experience stories, expert presentations, and collaborative discussions. Participants will explore the evolving caregiving journey and examine how health systems, workplaces, and communities can better support caregivers at every stage of life.

WHY NATIONAL CAREGIVER DAY

MATTERS Every day, family members, friends, and care partners provide critical support that enables people to live with dignity, independence, and quality of life in their homes and communities.

As care needs become more complex and workforce shortages continue, caregivers are facing increasing demands while balancing employment, education, and other responsibilities. Strengthening caregiver wellbeing and building a more sustainable care system requires collaboration across sectors; bringing together caregivers, people with lived experience, care providers, employers, researchers, and policymakers to develop more coordinated, supportive solutions
